A MAN who got behind the wheel while subject to two suspended jail terms is awaiting sentence at Burnley Crown Court.

Kyle Ayers (21), who had two previous convictions for disqualified driving, was slammed as a "menace on the road," by Judge Simon Newell, who added he was in serious jeopardy of losing his liberty.

The defendant, of Rainhall Crescent, Barnoldswick, had earlier admitted driving while disqualified, no insurance, no licence and being in breach of the two sentences. He was bailed until September 12th, for reports.

The judge warned Ayers he was not to take bail as any indication he would not be going to prison.
