THE Channel 4 gameshow "Deal or No Deal" took on a new interest this week for Barnoldswick viewers as they watched local man Ian Livesey compete for a place in the hotseat.
Ian, of Sycamore Way, applied to join the show in September and after a successful interview, he was invited to join presenter Noel Edmunds and the other contestants in February for the filming of the daily show.

"He stayed down a couple of weeks the first time and then went back for a final week," said his mum, Mrs Kathleen Livesey. Ian has been relatively quiet on the show so far, but his turn under the spotlight will come on Wednesday, May 28th.

His sister Rachel travelled down with him for the filming and also appears in the audience on that day.

Viewers will have to wait to see how he goes on as contestants are urged to keep tight lipped as to their final outcome.
