TIME goes slowly for some people, fast for others.

That also seems to be the case for the new clock tower on the Station Road bus shelter in Barnoldswick. The times showing on the four faces varied by up to half an hour at one stage.

And none were actually showing the right time - if the clock on the Post Office Buildings across the road was anything to go by.

Even when the clocks had been reset recently, there remained a discrepancy of a few minutes between one of the clock faces and the other three.

"What's the use of having a clock tower if all the faces don't show the same time," said Stanley Graham.

People who rarely use buses felt it was all a storm in a teacup, but regular users said it only needed a clock to be a few minutes slow for them to miss their bus.
