EARBY historian Bob Abel is researching the Second World War dead commemorated on war memorials in Earby, Kelbrook. Salterforth and Thornton-in-Craven.
He has managed to find information on most of these, in the main from archive copies of local newspapers.

But a few names have so far proved elusive and he would be grateful if anyone can help provide him with any details on the following names:

Henry Holding, D. Hudson and R. Redfern (listed on Earby war memorial) and Holmes Peel and Arnold Peckover (listed at Salterforth).

"Any information, however vague, to help fill in the gaps would be greatly appreciated," said Mr Abel, who can be contacted on 843850.
