Conservation status for Salterforth phone box?

BT has offered to review its plans to remove its public phone box in the heart of Salterforth.
A letter to the parish council suggested it might want to take on the running of the phone box in future and councillors felt this was something that could be looked at, rather than lose the facility altogether.

Inquiries are already underway about the possibility of getting conservation status for the old-style red box.
