Dog fouling patrols fail to fine anyone

WITH dog wardens, park keepers, police and community support officers and others keeping a watch out for anti-social individuals who let their pets foul the pavement, councillors were disappointed at the lack of fines imposed.
A report to Pendle Council's West Craven Committee advised members no fixed penalty notices for dog fouling had been issued in the period April to June 2008.
"It is disappointing to know that teens of people are working in that area and yet no notices have been issued," said Coun. David Whipp, who asked for that message to be reported back to those patrolling the areas.
