BE Bosom friends will step back in time on Sunday with a 1940s day at Rolls Royce Leisure Centre running from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m.
During the afternoon, the West Riding Home Guard 28 - a very authentic group of enthusiasts - will be on parade and there will also be a variety of vintage vehicles on show, along with 1940s re-enactors.

Weather permitting there will be an RAF fly past by a DAKOTA Douglas C47 (DC3) ZA947.

In the main hall there will be swing jive dancing exhibitions – with visitors urged to have a go! as well as a stall selling vintage clothing.

Exhibitions will show the part locals played during the war.

Prizes for the best-dressed "evacuee, civilian and military personel" will be awarded and war time food will be available to buy from the 'NAAFI'.

The Beer House Boys will provide the entertainment from 7-30 p.m. onwards - giving visitors a chance to practise their dance steps as well as singalong to the old songs including George Formby.

Admission is £6 a ticket, with children under 12 admitted free and these are available from Mrs Mary Brennan on 814917 or Sally on 812796 All profits to go to local charity group Barnoldswick and Earby Bosom Friends.
