AN eye-watering body waxing day helped to raise £1,708 for Bosom Friends cancer support group.
The idea came from local Stephen Chew who volunteered to have his chest and armpits waxed to raise money for the group, with Ian Armour then volunteering to have his legs waxed.
The event was planned to take place at the Cellar Bar, Barnoldswick, and owners Alan and Penny Sagar decided to link with this an "open microphone" day where local talent and budding stars were invited to sing and play.
Local band, "The Mighty S", closed the event which everyone agreed had been a resounding success.
