New face at Barnoldswick British Legion Club
FORMER sewing machinist Gail Barnett has given up stitching and taken over the running of the bar at Barnoldswick's British Legion Club.
Gail is no stranger to pulling pints as she worked at the Cross Keys pub some time ago, but the role of stewardess is completely new to her.
"I am really enjoying it and trade has picked up a lot. Fridays and Saturdays are really busy and we get a lot in now on a Sunday for the 'Play Your Cards Right' game," she said.
Gail's husband, Mark, is a member of the bar staff and he helps out on certain nights.
