Olympic fever mounts in Barnoldswick

OLYMPIC fever was in the air at Barnoldswick Library when staff organised a craft event to celebrate the opening of the 2008 Games.
Twenty children attended the session which offered children aged four to 11 a chance to make Great Britain hats and flags as well as a Chinese lanterns and dragons.
"They also heard about our Olympic themed summer reading challenge Team Read - which encourages children to read six books over the summer and along the way collect prizes, sticker cards and medals," said librarian Julie Dawson.
