AN award-winning Padiham restaurant has closed.
The owners of the Fat Giraffe have decided to move to pastures new after three years at the Church Street restaurant.

James Wilson and partner Jo Royle, and her mother Ann, said that they felt it was time to move on and focus on different parts of their lives.

Although a sale of the premises was in the pipeline that has fallen through and a decision has been made to close the business.
I
t originally opened as a daytime coffee shop but in November last year the owners said they wanted it to be an evening eaterie.

Awards won in the past three years have included a Catering for Health gold award and Best Tourism Newcomer award.

Mr Wilson said: "We would like to thank people for their loyal custom over the past three years. We've enjoyed running the Fat Giraffe and serving you."
