Ightenhill Festival postponed due to weather

ORGANISERS of the annual Ightenhill Festival have todaymade the decision to postpone this weekend's planned event.
Mayor Coun. Ida Carmichael, who represents the Ightenhill and Whittlefield area, was due to open the festival at noon on Sunday but it is now hoped to stage the event on September 28th.

Friends of Ightenhill Park made the difficult decision to postpone the event following an inspection this morning which found the ground to be unsafe.
