A YOUNG Pendle woman has beaten off stiff competition to add some glamour to a hardware shop.

Tool Options, in Plumbe Street, Burnley, ran "The Face of Tool Options" competition to find a face to front its campaigns, and judges chose 20-year-old Lisa Patel out of six model competitors.

The girls were photographed before appearing live on radio station 2BR, where they were interviewed by DJ Ricky Kirby who picked the winner with Tool Options director John Preston and Jeff Watson, of Hayley Louise Photography.

Lisa, who lives in Warren Drive, Barrowford, will receive a portfolio of photos from Hayley Louise Photography in Nelson, while the runners-up will get a photo shoot in the studio.

Mr Preston said judging had been very difficult. "It was a very, very hard decision to make. All the girls were beautiful, but we had to pick someone and Lisa is a great winner.

"However, all the girls will be utilised in our marketing material, so while Lisa will front many of the adverts and campaigns, they will all get a chance to be photographed and to appear for Tool Options over the next year."
