BURNLEY will host Premier League opposition in Fulham in the third round of the Carling Cup.
The Clarets were drawn out by former Everton and West Ham striker Tony Cottee, with Liverpool legend Phil Thompson pairing them with Roy Hodgson's side.

Fulham narrowly escaped relegation from the top flight last season thanks to a miraculous escape, having looked dead and buried at one stage.

And the tie will rekindle memories of Burnley's triumph over the same opposition in the fifth round of the FA Cup in 2002/03, with the Clarets winning 3-0 in a replay at Turf Moor thanks to goals from Gareth Taylor, Ian Moore and Drissa Diallo.

The tie will be played in the week commencing Monday, September 22nd.

The full draw is as follows:

Arsenal v Sheffield United
Brighton or Man City v Derby
Burnley v Fulham
Portsmouth v Chelsea
Blackburn v Everton
Rotherham v Southampton
Swansea v Cardiff
Ipswich v Wigan
Stoke v Reading
Leeds v Hartlepool
Watford v West Ham
Man Utd v Middlesbrough
Liverpool v Crewe
Aston Villa v QPR
Sunderland v Northampton
Newcastle v Tottenham
