BURNLEY have six players on international duty over the weekend.
First up tonight, Kevin McDonald is expected to feature for Scotland Under 21s against Slovenia in their UEFA European Championship qualifier, before facing Denmark on Tuesday in Aalborg.

McDonald netted in the 3-0 win in Lithuania last month, to leave Billy Stark's side second in their group with two games remaining.

The 10 group winners and four best group runners-up advance to the play-offs.

Tomorrow, forward Alex MacDonald will be with Scotland Under 19s for their friendly against Holland in the GVVV Stadium, Veenendaal, as he looks to make his international debut after a whirlwind few months.

Chester-born, MacDonald qualifies for Scotland through his Glasgow-born father.

Also in action with Scotland, for the senior side, is Graham Alexander, who earned a call-up to the squad for their opening World Cup 2010 qualifiers.

He is in George Burley's 24-man squad for the games with Macedonia in Skopje on Saturday, and Iceland in Reykjavik four days later.

Martin Paterson and Michael Duff are both both in the Northern Ireland squad for the first round of World Cup 2010 qualifying, as Nigel Worthington's side kick-off their campaign in Slovakia on Saturday, before hosting the Czech Republic on Wednesday.

Completing the group is wideman Besart Berisha, currently on loan to Norwegian side Rosenborg.

He has received his first call-up for Albania since suffering cruciate knee ligament damage while scoring in a 3-0 win over Malta last August.

Ironically, Albania face Malta in Tirana on Wednesday, after hosting Sweden on Saturday at the same venue.
