Train services from Lancashire hit after power failure
Inter city rail services to Scotland were affected today after a power loss.
Some services were cancelled, Virgin announced.
The train firm tweeted: "Due to loss of power to the overhead electric wires near Lockerbie, lines into Glasgow and Edinburgh are currently blocked. Updates to follow."
Passengers were advised to check before making their journey.
Virgin said ticket acceptance was in place with Trans Pennine and ScotRail
