DOG owners are being encouraged to "bag it and bin it" with a display of posters by Colne primary school children.
Colne in Bloom launched its dog fouling awareness exhibition in the glass house outside the market hall.

The youngsters' posters send out a clear message to pet owners that residents will not tolerate litter of any kind.

Pendle Council's dog warden Laura Robinson attended the event, giving out waste bags and explaining that the town hall provides them free.

The posters, by children at Newtown Nursery School, Sacred Heart RC Primary School, and Lord Street Primary School, were made into a calendar before being blown up and put on display.

Colne in Bloom member Mrs Julia Hartley said: "This campaign is about making people proud of their town and encouraging them to dispose of their waste correctly. We want Colne to be a clean and pleasant place to live."
