A DISCO dancing duo from Colne bowled over famous judges on Britain's Got Talent.
Charlie Dixon (8), of Shelfield Lane, Trawden, and Krista Hyatt (9), of Lenches Road, Colne, have made it through to the next round on the ITV show, presented by Ant and Dec.

Laneshaw Bridge Primary School pupil Charlie and Park Primary School pupil Krista, "The Cheeky Monkeys", dressed to impress when they appeared on television last Saturday. They managed to win over two of the high-profile judges, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan.

But Simon Cowell had some harsh words of advice. He said: "I think you look terrific, great costumes, but I thought you were better than the choreography."

Charlie's mum, Carolyne Dixon, who owns Aura Hair and Beauty in Colne, said: "They had a really good time! They loved being interviewed by Ant and Dec and got to meet Simon Mulhern, presenter of the show on ITV2.

"It's an opportunity of a lifetime for them and a massive achievement that they've got through."

Charlie and Krista, who are best friends and dream of taking their talent to the West End, have danced together for a year although both started lessons at a much younger age.

The winning act will perform in front of Prince Charles for the Royal Variety Show at the London Palladium.
