COLNE cyclist Steven Burke has scooped a bronze medal in the individual pursuit bronze race in the Beijing Olympics today.
He pedalled to victory in front of Russia's Alexei Markov with what commentators have described as "his second expertly weighted ride of the day".
Steve's victory comes on what has been hailed as a "Super Saturday" for Team GB in which it has claimed four gold medals, a silver and four bronze medals.
In the cycling, Bradley Wiggins and Chris Hoy stormed to victories, with Ross Edgar earning silver and bronze going to Steven and Chris Newton.
In the swimming, Rebecca Adlington won the women's 800m freestyle in aworld record time and the men's rowing coxless four also surged to gold. Britain also claimed bronze in the men's and women's double sculls.
Team GB are currently in sixth place in the medal table with seven gold medals, three silver and seven bronze.
