POLICE are investigating a series of raids on a sports shop in the heart of Colne's main street
Officers believe the raids on three consecutive nights at Fox Sports in Market Street are connected, the last one resulting in the biggest haul.

The first took place on Thursday night/Friday morning when a piece from a dry stone wall was thrown through the glass of the front door, but nothing was taken. Then, between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Saturday, the door was again smashed and two black and white Trespass tracksuits worth £150 were taken.

Police think the thieves may have been disturbed by a delivery worker.

But they returned between 2-30 a.m. and 3-30 a.m. on Sunday and removed the boarding over the damaged door. They them stole just short of £600-worth of gear including two Trespass tracksuits in black, three black Location tracksuits, and four children's Location jackets.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 425001 or ring Crimestoppers, free and in confidence, on 0800 555111.
