CATTLE and horses will return to Trawden Show after last year's foot and mouth scare forced organisers to scrap large sections of the event.
Schedules for August's extravaganza will be sent out next week, with categories for cloven-hooved animals and horses, both of which had to be dropped from last year's show, which was also hit by terrible weather.

A terrific fund-raising effort from the community has boosted Trawden and District Agricultural Society, which hopes one of the country's biggest agricultural shows will bounce back on Sunday, August 10th.

Schedules will be available from Colne Library, Trawden Library, Hedgehogg Florists, Trawden Post Office, The Old Rock Cafe, the Trawden Arms and the Sun Inn, or any agricultural society committee member.

Anyone interested in helping out with the show will be welcome to attend the group's monthly meeting at the Trawden Arms on Monday, at 8 p.m.
