Appeal for help to reopen West Craven community centre

A GROUP of Coates Estate residents have issued an urgent appeal for help to get the community centre there reopened.

A survey was sent out last September listing possible ways in which the centre could be used and asking for feedback.

But volunteers keen to get the ball rolling said they were disappointed with a lack of responses.

A new survey has been sent out to homes in the area, with residents asked to respond by Thursday or the facility will be lost for good. Housing Pendle has agreed to help bring the centre back up to scratch, but only if there is support from residents, and only if this happens before the deadline.

Anyone who needs more information can call Coun. Marjorie Adams on 666773.
