A LUCKY resident at The Grange Care Home in Colne has celebrated a milestone birthday in style.

Mabel Crabtree enjoyed every minute of turning 100, after she was paid a visit from the Mayor of Pendle Coun. Asjad Mahmood, and treated to a special performance from Park Primary School’s choir.

She was also presented with a beautiful cake, complete with 100 candles, from her daughter, Jenny.

Personal activities leader at the care home, Carolyn Weston, would like to give a special thank you to Nancy, who gave up her spare time to help with the event, kitchen staff, who prepared a fabulous buffet, and all of the care home’s staff.

l Donations are currently flooding in for Grange Care Home’s raffle. So far, there is a Mr Chips voucher, a Cemetery Chippy voucher, hair sets by Angels and Marcelle, a Nail Studio voucher, a Posture Matters voucher for a massage or reflexology treatment, a Pedigroom voucher, a Stell’s Famous Pet Store bird table, two hampers, lots of pampering treats, and more. All money made from the raffle will go towards activities for the residents at The Grange. e draw will take place on Christmas Eve. To purchase a ticket ring 01282 786184.
