THE Mayor of Pendle has made a visit to Colne’s most recently restored heritage site – Shackleton Hall.
And he had a look at the Royal Arcade, which features shop facilities and includes the new Colne office for Pendle Community Credit Union.
The hall also provides office accommodation for Housing Pendle. The housing association looks after the borough’s former council houses.
The building in Church Street has been empty for years and was in danger of destruction.
It has been restored by PEARL 2, the joint venture between Pendle Council and Barnfield Construction.
And the public feels it looks great now.
The Mayor, Coun. Nadeem Ahmed, was shown round the magnificent complex by Housing Pendle’s executive director, Ian Clark.
