Charity night in memory of Nelson man who died aged 32

AN annual charity night is being held tomorrow in memory of Nelson man Christopher Cheetham, who died aged 32 in June 2006, with a rare condition called malignant meningitis.
It was caused a brain tumour, which was the third he had in his short life.
On the night there is DJ and disco, an auction, raffle and quizzes, and female vocalist Mini G will be performing
It takes place tomorrow (Saturday) at Nelson Cricket Club, Surrey Road, from 7-30 p.m. till late. Entrance fee is any donation on entry, and everyone is welcome.
Organiser Samantha Mawdsley said: “This year, we have a movie night theme and fancy dress optional - dress up as your favourite movie character! There’s a prize for best outfit.
“All money raised will be donated to the Royal Preston Hospital, Neurosurgery Equipment Fund - endowment fund No: 03018 - where Chris received treatment.”
