Hosted by DJs Chris Byrne and Pat Carter, who used to spin the discs at The Hop, the event was held at Burnley's Remedy nightclub and was once again a huge success.

Chris said: "It wasn't just an evening to remember The Hop, it was a chance for good friends to catch up with one another and there was a fantastic atmosphere."

Hundreds of people packed into Remedy to dance to tunes of the 60s, 70s and 80s that made The Hop one of the top music venues in the North West.

Situated on Trafalgar, where the McDonald's drive-thru is now, The Hop built a reputation for its friendly and lively atmosphere and it was a sad day when it finally closed down before it was demolished in the early 1990s.

But the spirit of the place has been kept alive with the regular reunions and another one is already in the pipeline.

Chris added: "We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came as without them it wouldn't have been such a success."

A facebook group has been set up and anyone who wants to join can find it by searching Hop Reunion, Burnley.
