Tickets are selling fast for Colne man and former cruise ship crooner Russell Shaun’s Muni gig this month.

Taking place on Saturday, February 16th, Russell hopes to repeat his rousing 2012 homecoming with a range of songs from the elegant era.

The swing singer, son of Mike, a former BBC big band artist, wowed a sell-out crowd at the Colne venue last year with a sensational evening.

Along with his 14-piece swing band, Russell will perform a selection of hits from Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jnr, Tony Bennett and Michael Bublé.

New for 2013 though is the inclusion of some original and previously unheard material written by Glenn South and former Hollies bassist and keyboardist Bernie Calvert.

And 2013’s show will also have a little more local flavour too as Russell welcomes on stage a couple up-and-coming singers from Pendle in Hippodrome star Josh Hindle and 14-year-old Leighton Hunt.

Doors open at 7-30pm for an 8-30pm start and tickets are priced at £12 in advance and £16 on the door. However, tickets are selling fast, so you are strongly advised to purchase in advance.
