A BURNLEY cinema has brought in a new popcorn flavour, voted for by movie-goers.

Apollo Cinemas launched a poll to find the favourite flavour of the classic cinema snack, as part of National Popcorn Day.

The winner was “white chocolate and pecan” flavour, which will be available at the Hollywood Park centre for a month.

Andrew Smith, general manager of Apollo Cinemas Burnley, said: “Popcorn is the premier snack of choice for cinema-goers, so we’re delighted to be able to celebrate National Popcorn Day this year.

“The poll has really captured people’s imaginations, and we’re looking forward to giving the classic cinema snack a twist with our new flavour.”
