POLICE raided an office in the very heart of Nelson and discovered a cannabis factory.
The operation took place yesterday afternoon (Friday) at the former Proctor and Proctor accountants office in Carr Road. A young male of Chinese or Vietnamese appearance was arrested.

The police found extensive areas of cannabis growing or being dried inside the building, and there was a lot of equipment to heat, feed and water the plants.

A similar "farm" was found in the old Derby Hotel in Scotland Road in January, and fire-fighters tackling a house blaze in Reedley also discovered canabis plants.

It is understood a second raid was carried out in Nelson yesterday and yet another cannabis factory found.
