House-to-house inquiries after raiders target Nelson 82-year-old

AN 82-year-old man had £940 stolen from his home in Sheridan Street, Nelson, in the middle of the day.
The offender entered the house between 10-30 a.m. and 12-30 p.m. on Friday, carried out a search and left with a black plastic cash box worth £15 containing the money.
House-to-house inquiries have been carried out and police are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious to call 425001 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
