Last Night of the Proms

ONE of the area's most popular musical events - the Pendle Youth Theatre's "Last Night Of The Proms" - is just days away.
The lively annual concert takes place on Saturday and the orchestra has been busy putting the finishing touches to its programme.

The orchestra is conducted by Stuart Dickinson. Lynn Slater is again the soloist and Eric Beardsworth is compere. It is at the Pendle Hippodrome Theatre, Colne, and starts at 7-30 p.m.

It has been a sell-out in recent years, but tickets are so far still available. They are £6 and you can book by calling Lisa on 864084 or Liz on 870856, in both cases after 6 p.m.
