PLANS for the conversion of the former St Mary's Church, Nelson, into a traditional building skills centre have been submitted to Pendle Council.

This and an application for complementary listed building consent are expected to be decided by officer delegation.

Other applications submitted include:

Barnoldswick: Variation of condition of application to allow a legal agreement, relating to culvert works and CCTV provision to be undertaken before first occupation of units on land at Ravenscroft Way (Ouzledale Foundry); variation of condition of application to allow a legal agreement, relating to culvert works and CCTV provision to be undertaken prior to occupation of first units at land east of Ravenscroft Way (agent JWPC Clitheroe).

Brierfield: Two-storey extension to garage to form ancillary accommodation at 1 Hollydene, Reedley Drive (Mr S. Hussain); access ramp to front of house at 10 Hurstwood Gardens (Mr M. Iqbal).

Colne: Change of use from car sales to car sales and hand car wash (retrospective) at Glen Service Station, North Valley Road (Mr K. Goldsmith); erection of dwelling at the Old School House, Skipton Old Road (Mr J. Vary).

Fence: Single-storey extension at Bay Horse Inn, Wheatley Lane Road (Mr P. Vernon); subdivision of house to two houses and erection of conservatory at Old Barn Cottage, Tunstill Fold (Mrs M. Green).

Kelbrook: Change of use form agricultural land to residential curtilage at 428 Colne Road (Miss D. Wilkinson).

Nelson: Replacement of existing fencing with 2.4m high wrought iron railings and gates to school boundary at Lomeshaye Junior School, Norfolk Street (LCC); two-storey extension at 101 Reedyford Road (Mr M. Ali).
