Over 400 knitted angels, each with a Christmas Blessing, have flown off into Colne from St Bartholomew’s Church and have landed in the High Street.

Each shop has a large knitted angel as part of the “Angels on the High Street” competition. Find all 22 of the angels in the High Street and drop off your entry form at the church which is open from 10am until 12 noon every day.

The competition closes on December 18th and prizes are from the High Street shops. Free entry forms are in participating shops and other public places.

Karen Hawthorne said: “Our Thursday morning knitting group prepared all the angels in amazing numbers and we sent them out as Advent began. The church wanted to send out Christmas greetings into Colne and encourage people to browse and shop on our lovely high street shops.”

The knitting group meets every Thursday between 10am and 12 noon.
