Body found near Burnley beauty spot

Police were called to Rowley Lane at 6-46am today to reports of a sudden death.

The lane was cordoned off for a number of hours while emergency services were at the scene.

The death is not being treated at suspicious.

A police spokesman said: "Emergency services have attended and, sadly, a man has been found dead.

"His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed onto HM Coroner in due course."
