Plans for a business park creating up to 2,250 jobs for Pendle and Burnley have been revealed.
The North-East Lancashire Cyber Security Business Park will be a central part of the redevelopment of Brierfield Mills site by Pendle Enterprise and Regeneration Ltd, the joint venture between Pendle Council and Barnfield Investment Properties.
A crucial part of the initiative will be the setting up of a new Lancashire Institute for Cyber Security Training in a 15,000 square foot campus.
Training 2000 has expressed a serious interest in this and it is envisaged the institute will train 500 to 750 young people a year from Pendle, Burnley and Accrington.
