The number of unemplyed claimants in Pendle continues to edge down towards the 1,000 mark.
Figures for November show that there were 1,010 claimants.
That is 545 lower than in the same month last year and 64 less than in October.
The total represents a rate of 2.4% of the economically active Pendle population aged 16 to 64.
Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson said: “It’s great to see another fall in unemployment in Pendle and a record number of vacancies advertised.
“More jobs mean more people with security of a pay packet able to provide for their families and plan for future.
“This is encouraging news, but more still needs to be done.”
