The discount fashion and homewares store will occupy the building currently used by Wilko, which is re-locating to a 12,000 sq. ft unit in The Mall this year.
Charterwalk Shopping Centre owners Addington Capital will hand over the building to Primark in the autumn.
The announcement that the hugely poular major retailer was coming to Burnley was seen as welcome news for the town when it was revealed in December.
