A team of colleagues, who raised the grand total of £3,000 for Cancer Research, are going into action again.

All staff at Protec Fire Detection plc in Nelson, the team are gearing up for the Color Obstacle Rush in Liverpool on Saturday, September 26th, to raise money in memory of their friend and colleague Lesley Croxall who died in June after a battle against cancer.

They are also raising cash for Pendleside Hospice where Lesley was cared for throughout her illness.

After raising such a great total in July, when they completed the Pretty Muddy 5km event, the team felt they could not expect people to sponsor them again so soon after so they opted for a raffle.

With prizes including a signed Burnley Football Club shirt and a spa day, the raffle will be drawn on Friday.
