Pendleside Hospice and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance will split £1,100 equally raised from the 16th annual Kelbrook Art Exhibition held over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

The popular exhibition at Kelbrook and Sough Village Hall drew in the crowds once again, and a record footfall saw 53 of the exhibited 285 works sold during the three days, an impressive 20%.

Money raised at the exhibition is accumulated from entry fees, a 10% sales commission on each sold work, delicious homemade refreshments in the cafe and the famous raffle, which this year saw a meerkat portrait painted by Ann-Marie Atkinson up for grabs.

Committee member Jackie Barker said: “The committee wishes to thank all artists for their continued support as well as the bakers and volunteers who helped make the event such a success.”
