A family firm that was launched in a Colne garage has fought off tough competition to be named a finalist in the 2014 E3 Business Awards.

Print supplier Text Styles, which is now based in Albert Road, has recently been going from strength to strength - hitting the headlines in January when new customised and branded whiteboards were picked up by major companies, including Disney, BMW, and Lucozade.

And now they are celebrating once again after being selected from hundreds of nominees to become one of four finalists in the Business of the Year category.

The company’s managing director Thomas Jordan said: “We would like to thank all our customers, suppliers and friends in Pendle and beyond, for helping us achieve this nomination.”

And speaking on behalf of 1 Events Media, who have developed and organised the awards, managing director Mubarak Chati added: “We’ve had hundreds of nominations, and they’ve come from right across the region: Manchester to

Merseyside, Cumbria to Cheshire.

“It’s astonishing to witness the effort and ingenuity of so many individuals and organisations because so much commendable work has clearly been done.

“In compiling the shortlist, the nominations panel certainly had an unenviable task and for Text Styles

to have secured a place in the final is an achievement of which it should be

very proud.”

The E3 Business Awards will be held at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton on September 18th.
