A Fun Day will help a local family come to terms with losing several family members to cancer.
The Whittaker family from Colne are holding the Family Fun Day today at the Coldwell Activity Centre, at Back Lane, Southfield, Burnley.
All proceeds from the event will be given to the Macmillan Cancer Care Team.
Organiser Miss Louise Whittaker said she has lost her father Colin Whittaker, uncle Jack Whittaker and grandmother Mrs Eileen Whittaker to cancer.
She felt she wanted to hold a fund-raiser to support the Macmillan team who helped them through their illness.
Monday’s free event will run from 10am to 4pm and include archery, a bouncy castle, stalls selling cakes, bric-a-brac and lots more, a raffle and a tombola.
There will also be a laser combat game provided by Louise’s company Battlefield Live Pennine in Chorley.
Staff at Coldwell are providing the premises and supporting the Bank Holiday Fun Day event.
There will also be free buses on hand to take people to the venue from Burnley, Nelson and Colne.
See firstname.lastname@example.org for details of the bus leaving points and times or call Coldwell on 601819. You can call Louise for bus times and details of the event, on 01772 298725.
