It was beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Colne as Santa paid a visit to a festive fair.
Around 250 people attended the North Valley Residents’ Association event over the weekend, which included a variety of stalls, a raffle, and mulled wine and mince pies.
Representatives from Pendleside Hospice and Pendle Youth Choir also paid a visit, and a tuck shop was put on by the centre’s youth club.
Taking place at North Valley Community Centre in Birtwistle Avenue, the fun day raised more than £500.
Chairman of the resident’s association Jim Smart said: “It went very well, and we had a really good turn-out of parents and children - it was well supported by the local community.
“Fifty children went to go and see Santa in the grotto, and the children really enjoyed the face painting.
“We raised a good amount of money, and we are absolutely delighted.
“Money raised goes towards helping to deliver community centre projects.
“We would like to say thank you to all those who contributed to the success of the day - from the people who donated gifts for the tombola to Asda, who supported us as well.”
