An early morning garage fire in Colne is being treated as suspicious, it has been confirmed.
Eleven firefighters were called to Skipton Road at around 1-54am this morning to tackle the blaze near to the Trinity Baptist Church.
A garage and a Renault Clio were completely destroyed as a result of the flames.
A Lancashire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “When firefighters turned up the garage was well alight. They were given breathing apparatus, and had to break into the building itself to put out the fire.
“It is being treated as deliberate, and we are working with police to find out exactly what went on.”
