Members of the Colne community are invited to have their say on a proposed residential development.
A public exhibition will be hosted by housebuilder Persimmon Homes tomorrow about plans for Knotts Lane.
It will take place at Primet Hill Community Centre from 4pm to 8pm.
Residents will be able to see Persimmon’s analysis of the constraints and opportunities for the site and to speak to Persimmon representatives who will be on hand to answer questions.
Mark Cook, managing director of Persimmon Homes Lancashire, said: “We want to give the public an opportunity to air their views on the future residential development at Knotts Lane.
“We are committed to developing schemes that are underpinned by support from the local community and as such we
are inviting the people of Colne to contribute to the future housing plans in their area.
“We are committed to creating new homes and jobs where they are most needed.
“Colne has been identified as an appropriate location for future development but, as a responsible builder, we want to be certain that local residents have been involved from the very beginning of the design process and that any resultant application has been thoroughly considered by the local community it will serve.”
During the public exhibition, a brief description of the proposals will be on show.
It is believed the development will be made up of a mix of two, three and four bedroom homes of high quality design, which reflect the local townscape. Plans are also likely to include enhanced landscaping, a recreational place area and improvements to the safety of local roads.
