Plans have been submitted to Pendle Council to turn the old fire station building, in Dockray Street, into a sunbed salon.

The property, which was built in 1905, is currently vacant, but had previously been the home of Whitesides Bakery.

In the application, submitted by Mr David Atkinson, it states: “Structurally the building and shop frontage will remain as is other than the current “WHITESIDES” external shop sign will be replaced with “The Sun Station Sunbed Salon” sign.”
