Blaze at Nelson hair salon: police appeal

POLICE are appealing for information following a fire at a hairdressers in Nelson.

About 3-50 a.m. today (April 27th), police and the fire service were alerted to smoke coming from the Sameea Hair and Beauty shop in Manchester Road.

It is believed the fire may have been started deliberately at the rear of the shop and officers are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

Det. Sgt Richard Blackburn said: “I would urge anyone that may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time to come forward and contact police if they have not done so already.”
