A man who was abusive to paramedics in Colne who stopped to help him when he was drunk has been fined by Burnley magistrates.
William Bell (24), of no fixed address, was found slumped in a shop doorway in Keighley Road at 4-20pm on October 6th by an ambulance crew called by a concerned member of the public.
As they checked his pockets for identification he woke up and became abusive.
The paramedics called police who found him in Skipton Road 10 minutes later.
Bell admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He was fined £35 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.
