Man tries to kiss woman against her will in Nelson

POLICE are appealing for information after a man tried to kiss a woman against her will in Nelson.

Around 2.30pm on Friday 2 November 2012, a 30 year old woman entered the subway near to Hibson Road when she was approached by a man who asked her for a cigarette.

The man then proceeded to try and kiss her twice against her will before walking off towards Nelson.

He is described as white, of medium build, approximately 5’ 5” tall with blue eyes and short ginger hair.

He was wearing jeans and a blue Sergio Tacchini top with a light coloured horizontal stripe across the chest area.

Police have released two CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with this incident.

Sergeant Chris Valentine said: “This was a very unpleasant incident for the woman involved and I am keen to speak with the man on CCTV, if anybody recognises him I would ask them to come forward.”
