Pensioner denies assault
A Burnley pensioner is awaiting trial, accused of attacking a man in the town.
Edward Metcalfe, of Fairview Road, Burnley, pleaded not guilty to assault by beating, at the town’s magistrates’ court.
The 67-year-old, who is alleged to have committed the offence on March 22nd, will now face a court hearing on October 30th.
