Police appeal after BMW couple robbed in Nelson

Police are appealing for information following a robbery in Nelson at the end of last month.

At around 7pm on Monday, September 30th, a man and a woman were sat in their grey BMW and were parked up in Fleet Street when two men approached the car.

One of the men leaned into the driver’s open window and demanded her phone, verbally threatening her and claiming they had a knife.

The victim handed over her phone and her watch and the two men then ran from the scene in the direction of Bradley Road West.

PC Helen O’Rourke, from Nelson police, said: “This was very distressing for the victims.

“The incident has left them understandably shaken and I am keen to trace the people responsible.

“If anyone witnessed anything or has any information about what happened, then I would urge them to contact us.”

Both of the men are described as Asian, around 22 years old, of slim build and approximately five feet six inches tall.

One of the men was described as being clean shaven and was wearing a black tracksuit top.

The second man was wearing blue jeans and a grey hooded top.
